On August 20th, 2007 our Delay the Real World Fellowship winner Andrew Morgan came to New York City to meet author Colleen Kinder to eat sushi and talk about his upcoming two-year bike tour from New Jersey to Cairo. Andrew was presented with a check for $3,500 to help fund his goal of introducing young schoolchildren from different parts of the world to one another using video and the power of the Internet.
Andrew is a school teacher who was chosen by the fellowship committee from over 500 submissions on behalf of Running Press Publishers. As explained in his application, Andrew’s desire to take time off to use a new medium as his teaching tool, convinced the committee that his intentions were sincere and most unique. Meeting Andrew in person only solidified those feelings.

On July 18th, 2006 our Delay the Real World Fellowship winner Daniela Papi came to New York City to meet author Colleen Kinder where they dined, shared travel stories, and discussed her organization PEPY Ride and the bike tours she conducts throughout the year. Daniela was presented with a check for $3,000 to support her mission to help children in Cambodia obtain bicycles so that they may attend school.
Daniela was chosen from over 600 submissions by the fellowship committee on behalf of Running Press Publishers. The passion and dedication outlined within her application impressed the committee and the more that was learned about her non-profit organization, the more it was clear that this was our 2006 winner.

Our 2005 Delay the Real World Fellowship winner, Alexandra Katona, came to New York City to meet author Colleen Kinder for dinner, good conversation, and to be officially presented with a check for $2,500.
Alex was selected from over 1,300 submissions by the fellowship committee on behalf of Running Press Publishers. Her detailed and inspiring application demonstrated her commitment to the growing issue of fair trade coffee and won the hearts and minds of the committee.
