Colleen Kinder, author of Delaying the Real World is a freelance writer and photographer. Her essays and articles have appeared in several publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Washington Post, The New Republic, Salon.com and Ninth Letter. Her non-fiction has been anthologized in Readings for Writers (The Kenyon Review) and 20-Something Essays by 20-Something Writers (Random House). She graduated from Yale and holds an M.F.A. in non-fiction writing from the University of Iowa. She is a Fulbright Scholar and teaches writing at Yale.
